Pathfinder Induction

So yesterday was a special day for the children at church. It was Induction Day into Eager Beavers, Adventurers and Pathfinders. All the children helped out with church. During offering time Carlie and Colby sang "Theres a flag flying high" with me accompanying on the mandolin.

Carlie told the children's story. It was a very sweet story. She shared with everyone when Jesus answered one of her prayers. She shared how one of the kids at school was always shouting at her and always playing mean during four square. She told me that she wanted to get him back by playing mean back to him. But as we talked we decided that Jesus would probably not treat him that way. She learned to "cast her burden" (Psalms 55:22) to Jesus and prayed to Him about it. The next day, Carlie's desire to treat him mean at four square had left her. But the boy started in again shouting and being mean to her. Then all on his own he came to Carlie and said "I'm sorry" for shouting at her and he asked for forgiveness and said he would never shout at her again. And he hasn't. So Carlie has experienced how Jesus can take her burden and fix the problem for her in a kind way.

Calvin accompanied the children with the mandolin during the special music. After that the children recieved their scarves and light a candle.

I wanted to add pictures, but the uploading is taking forever for some reason and now I gotta go feed great-grandpa right now. So-long!

I LOVE Carlie's story and how awesome that she shared it! That's what we're called to do - share our testimony/experience. That's being faithful. Thanks Carlie!
