WHAT-SOOOO-EVER

Christmas Eve we eventually made our way over to Phil & Martha's house. We had a good supper. After supper we went ahead and started opening our gifts. As you can see, we needed to get started. We had a little pile going on there.....but there were several people involved also. There were 7 adults and 5 kids present.
I was very impressed with my children, they were happy with all of their gifts and were very thankful too. That makes me feel good when they demonstrate those characteristics. We had a huge garbage bag stuffed with wrapping paper and boxes and all sorts of stuff. We were pretty good at keeping the trash to a minimum. I'll get some pictures up to show some of the gifts the children got.
After Christmas Eve, we all went home very happy that we all had been good and Santa gave all of us presents. Then, in the middle of the night I got sick. It was back and forth whether I was going to hug the toilet or not. Eventually....I won. I didn't throw-up but I slept most of Christmas Day away! I had a fever, very sore throat and very achy and sore from the top of my head to the tip of my toe. Yuck! Ibuprofen was my friend and it barely did the trick even prescription strength. I was still sick the next day with a fever etc that I had to call in sick with work. The whole family went to St. Cloud and I had a day all to myself. It was a little lonely, but a very needed day for myself. I think I just got drained with everything that happened during my semester with school, work and all the changes that occurred with that. It was definitely a stressed out semester! Anyway, Thursday I was functional and I had no fever so I could go to work. Today I'm almost 100%. I still have some sore throat, but nothing like the first day. Am I ever thankful for health. I need a reality check sometimes to help me remember why I continually try to make healthy lifestyle choices, I hate being sick! Well, enough for now! Hope everyone has a Happy Sabbath! I need to make a healthy lifestyle choice right now and go to bed. Its a busy day tomorrow.

Soooo sorry you had to get soooo sick. I agree getting sick is always a reality check. The girls have bad coughs and achiness too but we might be getting over the hump with it now. Ugh!
