One Saturday night (last week) several of Randy's co-workers wanted to get together and go tubing. We decided that we wanted to join in the fun. We could get tickets for the slow side or the fast side. Of course we went for the fast side!!! And of course for the whole family.
The kids were excited. Calvin's "bff" Cody and his brother Cole were there to enjoy tubing also. This is Cody in the middle of Calvin and Carlie. They were scoping out the tubing hill while we were still getting the tickets and getting Colby ready.
Calvin and Cody had a total blast the whole evening. Carlie had a bad crash at the bottom of the hill (and her Daddy) We, meaning me Colby, Randy and Carlie just got done sliding down the hill and trying to re-group when we looked up 
the hill and about 5 tubers all joined together were heading straight for Carlie and Randy. Randy ran to Carlie to try getting her out of the way. He had his hands on her but then the tubes crashed into them. The tubes hit Randy first, so we're sure he dampened the hit for Carlie but she went flying up in the air too! Randy landed on his bad shoulder and I thought he was surely done after that. I found Carlie amongest the tubes and people and she was crying hard and saying her elbow hurt. So I took her into the building to inspect her. She had a big goose egg on her head. And her right elbow was already getting a bruise on it. She put it on ice and that helped alot. She was brave and went out again after awhile, but she went on the slower side. The fast side was definitely very fast!!!!! Colby was done after witnessing the crash too. He didn't like how fast it was and he didn't try the slow side either. Instead, he had a blue slushie and showed off his blue tongue. He couldn't slurp down the whole thing because he kept getting brain freezes! We had alot of fun except for the big crash. Next time we'll start out on the slow side to prepare us for the fast side!

Ouch!! My goodness, both Carlie and Randy. What a bad, scarry experience. Sounds like fun if you can stay out of the way of the speeding tubers.

Looks like fun. I'm sure I would have opted for the slow side (definitely at first) and Natalie would've probably done that with me. Joelle and Steve would like the fast I'm sure. Poor Carlie. What a trooper to go out again though!
