Last weekend Calvin experienced music festival. He was gone from Wednesday through Saturday. We went down on Sabbath and had Sabbath lunch with Randy's uncle and his family who live right by the academy. Then after that our past "nanny" Kelli who lived with us for three summers wanted to show us her art. So, we went to the mall where her art was on display along with many other young people from the community and surrounding schools. Then it was off to listen to Calvin's hard work with music festival. They learned 6 songs. Calvin knew all of them by memory. We were proud of him for that. They only had one program in the afternoon and it barely took an hour. Maybe only 45 minutes was more like it. We were amazed at how short it was. I also was a little disappointed that they didn't do more, such as perform some of their songs for the church service or something like that. But, none the less it was very nice and Calvin had a good time with his friends and with music fest. He is growing up so fast. I think its going to accelerate for me when he reaches his teen years. I mean really, he could potentially only live with us for another 7 years and then he would be 18. WHATEVER!!!! No wonder I want to live somewhere by a day academy, otherwise it could potentially only be a little over three years when he would go to a boarding academy. Life wouldn't be the same after that!
