AAALLLLLVVVVIIINNNNN!!!!!!

What else have we been doing? We are foster parents to 3 boys and 1 girl. Foster parents to chipmunks!!!! We had a friend level a mound of dirt in our front yard a little over a week ago. What was discovered was a mansion chipmunk den. The momma had 5 babies in there. One baby didn't make it but the other 4 babies did. They had to be moved so they wouldn't get squished from the landscaping project. Randy made sure that the momma saw her chipmunks and hoped she would relocate them. But she didn't take them back. So we felt compelled to at least try to save her babies for her. So here we are, feeding at 2 in the morning. ARGH. If I ever felt like I needed a baby again, those feelings got squished real quick!!!! But the kids are having a great experience taking care of the chipmunks too. We had to take them south with us to Kelli's graduation. They didn't have their eyes open, but 3 of the 4 now have their eyes opened. One of the babies had some injury to him, so he is a little slower and there has been a couple of times that we wondered if he would make it. But so far he is thriving and growing.

Sooooooo Cute! I hope they all survive and can learn to live on their own outside when they grow up. They might stay friendly even when they live outside.
