New Year's Eve

I have a little catching up to do. So for New Year's Eve we found ourselves at some of Randy's family that live about an hour and a half away. Our kids have fun with their 2nd cousins. The cousins have some horses and this pony in the pictures. They brought her out and gave rides to all the kids that were there. Carlie looks to big for the little pony, but they said it was ok.

Then it was Colby's turn. He had fun too. Calvin rode her too, but he did it before anybody with camera's realized what they were up too. It was a pretty cold day. I can't remember how cold. But its not anything like what our weekend it getting all geared up for us this weekend. Our high temperature tomorrow is predicted to be minus 10. Our temperature tonight is supposed to get to minus 26. And thats without the wind, which it is very gusty. With the wind chill it will feel like minus 50. I'm remembering why I don't like winter.

Church has been cancelled and our social activities for in the evening. We're just going to stay buttoned up inside the house. We're so thankful God has provided a warm house for us to live in! The kids said they prayed for the homeless people in school. I couldn't imagine how to even think about surviving a night like what we're having tonight.
