So, Carlie had a birthday not too long ago. She, unbeknownst to Randy and me had invited one of Randy's co-worker and his wife. We absolutely didn't mind but it was just kind of funny how Randy and I found out that they were invited. Anyway......Carlie felt pretty sly about the whole thing.
So we had enchiladas for supper and a salad. A chocolate cake too. It was simple but fun. Carlie got some nice presents and she even got a present from the co-worker and his wife. They are really nice people and they will probably even go out west with us in the fall. They have come out to our house a few times when he is on call for the hospital. They live about an hour away, so when he is on-call they have to stay in town overnight. What a bummer!!!!
After Carlie opened her presents the snow started to really come down in big flakes. This picture was taken just in time to see a big flake getting ready to land in Calvin's mouth.
Do you think the snow is pretty? What a loaded question. I'm so tired of the snow. Now if it was just before Christmas then it would be welcomed! I need to just accept that snow is still going to be around being that March is usually one of our snowier months.
The kids were on spring break this past week. They had fun staying home with Randy. They helped him out alot. And it was just nice they got to spend time together. The weather is getting warm enough that the kids and I go out for a walk. I should say that I walk and the kids take their bikes. We really enjoy that. We can't wait when Randy can join us.
