SKI DAY

The kids were so excited that they finally got to go skiing. The kids and I all tried the snowboard. It was fun. There were a couple of times I crashed and boy did it hurt! I don't like crashing anymore. I'm getting tooooo old. All three caught on quite quickly. Calvin took of with some of the older boys and skied down a longer green hill. Carlie and Colby stayed on the bunny hill longer with Randy and me. Colby really, really liked snowboarding compared to skis. He was a natural. He would spin around going down the hill and not crash!!!! Carlie was more cautious. She just needs more time and realize she can actually do it. Our day ended up being shortened with Randy crashing and deranging his knee. When we got home Randy laid on the coach and the next thing we realized he was being taken care of by all of his children. He had stuffed animals around him and and blanket placed upon him and a wooly under his hurt leg. It was so sweet. They were doing everything they could think of to take care of their daddy.
We had an awesome view of Lake Superior. These pictures really don't do the view justice. but it was pretty cool. Randy and I decided to take Carlie and Colby to the green hill that Calvin had been snowboarding on. The view on that hill was incredible. But Colby got scared. We think it was a heights issue for him. He really is afraid of heights and looking down the hill in a 5 year olds eyes, we could understand how huge and high the hill would feel for him.

Cute pics. Love the goofy faces in the car and how sweet of the kids to take care of their Daddy! Hope his healing happens quickly.
