I've decided that I need to start working with Carlie a little more trying to get her used to the idea that she is a pretty girl and she can start dressing like one. She's always wanting to dress like a boy because she is a tomboy. Anyway we were stuck at home and I decided to put rollers in her hair. Doesn't she just look sooo "thrilled" about it? She wore those things all day. She has such thick hair it took all day to dry.
In the evening, we took the rollers out and I put part of her hair back in a ponytail. The rollers on the sides of her hair really kinked her hair up. Next time I'll use bigger rollers on the sides. Carlie wasn't happy and here she is trying to smile while she is crying. She was kinda mad. So she had to go to her room and cool of a bit.
When she was feeling better she brought down her skateboard and was happier to pose with that! As soon as we were done, she took the ponytail out and got her hair wet and took out all the curls. Oh, well. She's been told that we'll probably be doing this again someday. That made more tears start to flow. Oh dear! I'm such a meanie!

OK - Aunt Shelly if you want to primp around on someone's hair you'll just have to move to TN and your youngest little niece would LOVE to let you go to town on her curls!!!

Don't worry, Carlie. Your Mommy is good at experimenting with hair. Ask her to keep trying and you will come up with a real cute style that will be just you!
