Hi people. I can't believe its been almost a month since I've last blogged! So what have we been doing? Oh, a little of everything. One thing I haven't been doing is school. But that will come to an end soon.
We've been doing a variety of things. We had a mandantory school picnic to go to. Calvin started climbing trees right away. Since we had a mandantory picnic the kids got done with school a day earlier.
After the school picnic we celebrated an 8th grade graduation. A whole class of ONE. It was very nice and just as important to celebrate his accomplishment.
Then we had to celebrate another graduation. We went south for the weekend to celebrate Kelli's graduation. She was our "nanny" for several summers and now she has grown up! She got a very nice scholarship for college. She graduated with high honors. We're very proud of her. She worked very hard to attend the academy. Do you like my blue lipstick? Ha, we all had cake, but the blue frosting left its evidence on my lips.
We also got to meet Melanie. Carlie could hardly wait to meet her and hold her. Carlie is in 7th heaven holding Melanie. Melanie belongs to Scott, a cousin of Randy who lived with us for a few years while he was in college. He lived with us when Calvin was born and he had exposure with Calvin as a little tyke. Scott and Kerri are great parents. Melanie is a very mellow little girl and just looks at everything. Just a very content baby.

What a nice group of pictures. Randy is looking good. Carlie looks so grown up. And, wow, Calvin has his dreads. What a lot of hair. I think I need to borrow some of that hair!

Oops! I thought that was one of those funky monkies up there in that tree (you know, the long hair and all). But no, it was my oldest grandson imitating a monkey! Well, on second thought - it was a funkie monkey!! I think we have another little monkey that lives down here. She loves to climb trees. The other day at Laura Jeans house she (Joelle) climbed a tree and found her very first bird's nest with eggs in it. She was so excited that I had to go out and see what she had found.
